20 + Christus
+ Mansionem + Benedicat + 18
20 + C + M+ B + 18
casa.
Tradicionalmente
esta inscrição deve permanecer até ao Pentecostes.

The Pharisees were a major Jewish sect from the 2d century BC to the 2d century AD. The seeds of Pharisaism were planted during the Babylonian Captivity (587 - 536 BC), and a clearly defined party emerged during the revolt of the Maccabees (167 - 165 BC) against the Seleucid rulers of Judea. The Pharisees were the Law-keepers and promoters of tradition, and the Sadducees comprised the wealthier ruling class.
ResponderExcluirThe Sadducees were the party of high priests, aristocratic families, and merchants—the wealthier elements of the population. They came under the influence of Hellenism, tended to have good relations with the Roman rulers of Judea, and generally represented the conservative view within Judaism. While their rivals, the Pharisees, claimed the authority of piety and learning, the Sadducees claimed that of birth and social and economic position.
